- WP1. Twinning with leading European research centers through exchange of knowledge, experience and know-how
WP1 aims at stimulating the exchange of knowledge, experience, and know-how, at increasing the density of networking with the twinning organizations, at intensifying the joint research and scientific investigations with innovative potential through two-way secondments of research staff between IP and partners.
WP1 leader: Assoc. Prof. Ivaylo Dimitrov; dimitrov@polymer.bas.bg
- WP2. Reinforcement of human resources
WP2 aims at accumulating a critical mass of expert human resources, increasing the human potential and, hence, reinforcement of the IP staff S&T competitiveness and upgrading its RTD capability and IPI potential. Recruitment of 6 experienced researchers (PhD holders or equivalent) from the country and/or abroad and 2 experienced technicians is foreseen.
WP2 leader: Prof. Stanislav Rangelov; rangelov@polymer.bas.bg
- WP3. Enhancement of the research infrastructure
The objectives of WP3 are focused on the enhancement of the research infrastructure and S&T capacities for innovative research in the polymer opportunity areas by upgrading the existing technical equipment and acquisition of new modules and instruments. Purchasing of GPC line equipped with RI, UV, viscometric and LS detectors, Zetasizer, and Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer is foreseen. TGA instrument is to be upgraded with a mass spectrometer.
WP3 leader: Assoc. Prof. Christo Novakov; hnovakov@polymer.bas.bg
- WP4. Unlocking the innovation capacity of IP
WP4 aims at unlocking the innovation potential of IP for developing vanguard polymers and high added value materials and devices based on them. The general role of the foreseen activities is to reduce the gap between the available innovation knowledge in IP and the need for application in industry in Bulgaria and Europe.
WP4 leader: Assoc. Prof. Neli Koseva; koseva@polymer.bas.bg
- WP5. Dissemination and Communication Activities
The main goal of WP5 is to increase the visibility of IP excellence and the awareness of society about its achievements by activities associated with dissemination, marketing and promotion of IP results and the added value of the project. The dissemination and communication activities aim to reach out to interested parties from academic circles, industry, stakeholders as well as the general public.
WP5 leader: Assoc. Prof. Petar Petrov; ppetrov@polymer.bas.bg
- WP6. Evaluation of IP research potential and innovation capacities upon POLINNOVA completion
The objective of this WP is to provide an evaluation analysis by international independent experts of the overall research quality and innovation potential (including management and research infrastructures) at the end of POLINNOVA project.
WP6 leader: Assoc. Prof. Olya Stoilova; stoilova@polymer.bas.bg
- WP7. Project Management
The objective of this WP is to ensure appropriate management infrastructure for the project, to administrate, coordinate and motivate the staff and to enable undisturbed implementation of all tasks on the time and within the planned budget.
